  hello everybody,i've been lurking for a while and since i really adore reading the biggest part of the posts, especially this italian ( american) guy about his experiences at bethel in the 70's, i feel a little bit guilty for not participating with my contribute.

  i am really so sorry for the people that are suffering because of the wts.my story is a " happy ending " story, i married a jw almost 30 years ago and i am here to tell that we are still very happy.

  she is very liberal and our 3 kids are " normal ".

  Zana, wow....., you really got the point!!! Bravissima ( I am Italian ) !. It is all about the blood issue, of course I could write a novel about it but it would be boring. When for the first time and that is two years ago my wife heard that her father needed a surgery with a risk of a blood transfusion she told me and tried to convince her father that he had to accept the surgery and eventual blood transfusions and she was very well aware that she could have been disfellowshipped for this. She has an " expired " blood transfusion card as she said to me. Two or three years ago she had a surgery for herself and for the first time in my life I realised what it meant being married to a Jw. Till then she always told everybody that for the kids I was the one who had to decide. When she had the surgery she told the doctors she didn't want a blood transfusion but she didn't inform her congregation about her surgery, only my daughter ( atheist ) and I were surveying her. Everything went well but for me it was as waking up for the first time and that I had been soooo lucky till that time

  I've been lurking for a while and since I really adore reading the biggest part of the posts, especially this italian ( american) guy about his experiences at Bethel in the 70's, I feel a little bit guilty for not participating with my contribute. I am really so sorry for the people that are suffering because of the Wts.
  My story is a " happy ending " story, I married a Jw almost 30 years ago and I am here to tell that we are still very happy. She is very liberal and our 3 kids are " normal ". Till 2 weeks ago maybe I was convinced that being Catholic , Mormon or Jw was " almost " the same ( of course I did some research and came to another conclusion ).
  It is not!!!! My father in law died 1 week ago because 2 years ago he refused a surgery ( bladder cancer ) with the risk of needing a blood tranfusion.
  Afer his funeral we went to my wife's brother home where we had a meal with the other relatives ( also non jw's ) and there was a prayer to Jehovah. We looked at eachother ( the non jw's ) and I immagine we were thinking ; " how can you thank someone for taking away 5 years of your father's life ??"

  here is ( a part of my experience )

  
  

  - we didn't marry in the KH and she was reprobed so no dubs at our wedding (

  with exception of a very nice couple )

  
  

  - our children weren't baptized as Catholics

  
  

  - the cildren were allowed to do all the normal activities including Xmas and birthdays at school

  - activities as karate, gymnastics and so on

  
  

  - yes at the beginning a lot of meetings assemblies ( I also participated for 4/5 years )

  and bible teach book for the children

  
  

  - at 8 or 9 my daughter confessed she was an atheist. We ( also my wife ) stood behind her

  
  

  - all the 3 had/ are having a higher education

  
  

  My wife is after 28 years, what I call a non practisant Jw (!in the last 3/4 months 2/3 meetings )

  Hi Luge,

  that is my story or maybe I should say it was, because it was 28 years ago. What to say? We are really happy and have 3 children none of them is a jw but I must admit that there is some truth in every comment that I read. I wish you good luck and the only advise I can give to you is to try to find out if she really wants you as you are and let the future children make their own choice.

  Nowadays with internet, social media, blog etc. it isn't difficult to start a cult. So sorry for the people that are stepping out of the JW cult and remain trapped in another circle of idiots. I really think that for some that once they are brainwashed they need to believe in almost all the stupid things they were thaught.

  yes, I think that proclamatoreconsapevole and betelliteconsapevole are run by the same guy and we believe he is a real Bethelite. If these guys have something to do with Zion I am not so sure. Definitvely the guys you mentioned are not involved.

  it has been a while that I didn't post. As some of you may know I live in Italy and ( maybe ) something curious is happening. Since a couple of months a group of elders ( ex elders maybe?? ) ) and bethelites ( ex? ) started a new religion called.

  By the way; they will deny they are Jws or exJws but it is to evident they are.

  
  

  They have a website where they explain their theories. For example; instead of calling god Jehovah they call him Yahweh and they don't obey to,the GB but besides this it is the usual JW crap or even worse.

  
  

  Besides this they have another website geova.org where they try to wake up Jws by explaing them ( a lot of posts ) that everything what the Wts has told them till now is complety wrong.

  
  

  The point is ; their BS is even worse! How can people after a life in the Wts even consider to switch, will they ever learn?

  
  

  I don't think that a lot of Jws follow them, maybe more people like us.

  i knew apostasy was a serious concern for the org, but until i watched this video, i had no idea how afraid they actually were.

  all this guy wants is to do is not turn in his fs hours and immediately they (elders) set about drilling him about who are what influenced his decision, as if he was incapable of making his own (which as the elders confirm, in the org is highly discouraged).

  they are convinced he has been communicating with apostates or visiting apostate web sites.
